The Women Behind Two Sisters Herbals

Francesca studies herbal medicine and has been learning alongside her sister through herbalist apprenticeship programs since making her home in Minnesota. Originally from California, she immediately fell in love with the rhythm of all four seasons—especially the experience of snow and the quiet stillness that winter brings. She feels most at peace wandering through parks and wooded places, or sitting by the water, where there is always something new to notice when you take the time to look.

Her studies in herbalism are guided by a desire to learn from and build relationships with our plant relatives, and to respectfully share their teachings with her family and community so that medicine can remain accessible and rooted in reciprocity.

Outside of herbalism, Francesca finds comfort and inspiration in books—both reading them and writing her own stories. She and her husband enjoy going to the movie theater or attending metal, punk, and industrial electronic concerts when they can. Some of their happiest moments are spent at home and outdoors—playing with their dogs, grilling together, and tending to their individual passions, with Francesca working in her medicinal garden while her husband creates music in his studio.
