Francesca Koffron

Francesca Koffron (she/her) is of Rarámuri (Tarahumara), Yoeme (Yaqui) and Mexican heritage. She was born and raised in California, but moved to Minnesota to be closer to family. Francesca absolutely loves the four seasons here, including the snow! But fall is still her favorite. She grew up with her mom teaching her and her sister the importance of knowing about the foods we eat and to be conscientious of where our food comes from. Francesca’s family would grow their own food when possible, which made her feel connected to the earth and her culture. Embracing her love of plants, Francesca studies herbal medicine and participates in herbal apprenticeships with her sister since living in Minnesota.
